When I startup one of my worlds, upon initial movement of my character the game goes to a black screen that says, "The software was closed because an error occurred." I have tried shutting down the Nintendo system completely, checking for corrupted files within the game, and deleting the game and re-installing it. Nothing seems to work. This began after the latest version update of Minecraft.

Does it occur on every World, or a specific one? If it happens on a specific World, can you attach it to this ticket? You can either download it using Realm or SD card.

Through fiddling around, I have solved the problem and figured I would let you know. By clearing the marketplace cache, it solved the problem.
