The 2x2 texture at the top of the torch is slightly moved to the left and does not connect with the base of the torch. Sorry if it's difficult to understand, just look at the screenshots below.

I would believe it is for the effect of visual flames above the torch, but I may be wrong. Can confirm although I cannot say for sure that it is intentional.
