Villages no longer generate in old worlds

I had previously found a seed for an old world with a village, but when I load the world in the latest version after resetting the chunks, the village is completely gone and the /locate command doesn't find any village and simply says "no valid structure found within a reasonable distance"

The two screenshots are of the same world, in the same area, before and after I reset the chunks

What version did you originally find the village in? Were the village's chunks loaded prior to updating?

Please attach the seed and a copy of the world. Also, keep in mind that unloaded chunks may be re-generated after updates, which is especially true if you updated the world from 1.18 to the latest release, as that update changed world generation in its entirety. An update may have changed the spawning conditions for villages, and therefore the village wasn't able to generate.

Thank you for your report!

The issue appears to be caused by the usage of third party tools to reset the chunks.
