Minecraft Switch, playing Survival Mode on a 2 Person Realm, I can for sure say it has occurred while I am cycling through Chest UI's (frantically looking for a needed item) As I am playing when I open the inventory UI, it will freeze up and be unable to be closed, and either the cursor will also freeze up, or have inverted horizontal (but not vertical) controls. I play on non inverted controls. I have crafting recipes open as default in the inventory UI as well to provide more context.

It is a launch Nintendo Switch so yes it is old. I take care to clean dust from it 3-4 times a year. It doesn't have any issues overheating, or otherwise crashing. I am using a Nintendo Switch Pro controller. It's a relatively new issue, the last time I played for a while was a couple months ago and I never ran into the issue then. I am continuing to play on the world to see if I can replicate it again.
I was able to find a thread where another person experienced the same issue.

Hope any of this helps
