After the 1.20.80 update i notice my RAM surging to 95% of 31.7GB, in single player only. I don't know exactly what all that means but the game becomes jittery and laggy after 5 minutes of playing, and does not drop back down until i close the game entirely, minimizing it drops it too but hen surges right back up (see screen shot) render distance at 50 (recommended and used to be fine). realms seem to only take up 50%

apparently i did. I turned that off but it still goes right up to 97% within 5 minutes and only in single player, is that not normal?
when left my single player world and joined my realm my ram stayed around 90%, but when i closed Minecraft and reopen joining and playing my realm only take me to 22% and refused to creep any higher

I had the same issue, RAM went up to ~40GB+, then the client crashes.
I can confirm disabling the "Improved Input Response" option and restarting the client resolved the issue.
It appears this option has a memory leak...
