So in 1.21 its possible to stand on boats like in java, but you cant hop on a boat from water like on a block or on a boat in Java, because boats in Bedrock are too easy to push.
Maybe that's more of a parity issue than a bug, but fixing it will make ocean exploration much more immersive and enjoyable as it is in Java.
