Can no longer /give player unknown, this doesn't make sense because the unknown block has special properties that no other block has, like whilst holding it, players cannot interact with blocks, place it down, drop it, or break blocks. This would make it useful for map making as it is effectively visitor mode when holding it.

You aren't supposed to be able to obtain the "unknown" block. Previously, there was a bug that allowed players to obtain the block using the /setblock or /fill commands (see MCPE-165301), that has since been patched. This further solidifies that the block is meant to be unobtainable.
