When trying to buy skin pieces in the Character Creator section I get the error "Something went wrong, the purchase could not be completed. Check your Internet connection" when my internet is fine.

Can confirm, but only for those that were added back in this version, after first day of the month and mostly before this month, this bug seemed to be a result of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) exploitation. I had reproduced the issue on iOS and was on good internet connection, so consider it a multi-platform issue.
Rabbit Sweater is free to claim, however I did not claim it until this month, and if it's not claimed in a month after it was made available, it will be affected by this bug.

Steps to Reproduce:
Enter Dressing Room
Create a character or edit the character
Expand the "Style" dropdown
Click "Shirt"
Find Rabbit Sweater
Click the Rabbit Sweater icon I've shown above
Click Claim
Expected Result: You could claim / purchase the item and FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) exploitation was basically nonexistent
Actual Result: The item would not be claimed and the error pops up that you would need to check an internet connection, despite having a good connection.
