Update: Affects iOS.

[media: MCPE-236099 iOS.mov]

The multiplayer toggle gets turned off autonomously when the skin is not loaded, but the skin might have been loaded while I was in the Edit World screen, so it might be why the multiplayer toggle can be turned on again on iOS.

iOS device specs for reference (since slower device may get the issue reproduced easier): iPad Air 5 (M1 chip), 256GB storage.

It being exclusive to Nintendo Switch never ever makes sense to me as a Minecraft player But even so it shouldn’t cause the game to soft lock too IMO.

That workaround I tried from above actually doesn’t work, but the next workaround can be done by:

  1. Going to the Dressing Room by clicking “Change character / skin”

  2. (Optional) Wait so the skin finishes loading.

  3. Leave the Dressing Room after, there’s no need to switch slots

Basically it’s like what the reporter has done but without changing skin / character slots in step 3.

Can confirm, “Damage Tilt” is not translated in languages other than English.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Make sure the game is set to ones other than English

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Find and click Video on the left tab

  4. Find “Damage Tilt”

Expected result: The text “Damage Tilt“ should be translated

Observed result: The text “Damage Tilt“ is not translated

Can confirm, on my PC, I can be blocked by the “Skin not allowed” pop-up when I entered a world too soon after the game is started. I was like “huh, I equipped the platform restricted skin as one when I was signed out, that should make sense“. But seeing this report, and so I tried removing all platform restricted skin packs, and yet I can still get blocked by the pop-up when I opened the world too soon after the PC is shut down or rebooted.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. With Minecraft open, click Play as soon as possible

  2. Try opening a world

  3. If the result is from Expected results and the procedure is done too slow (>3 seconds if on a PC with SSD), restart the game or reboot the computer

Expected result: If the skin is not disallowed to play multiplayer by the game, the world should load with multiplayer enabled

Observed result: You get blocked by “Skin not allowed” pop-up, regardless of the skin / custom character.

Workaround:

  1. Cancel the pop-up by pressing “Escape” key or the X button on the pop-up

  2. Wait so the skin finishes loading.

There’s no more permanent way as there are no “platform_locked“ enabled on either Character Creator items or Marketplace skin packs.

Note: This, for now, is not linked to an issue I am having for years with the Super Mario Mash-up Pack on Nintendo Switch, where they are consistently tightening the gates while I begged / wanted them to loosen. And so I cannot reproduce this issue on Nintendo Switch without using skins from the Super Mario Mash-up.

Can confirm. Also affects Traditional Chinese version where Simplified Chinese letters are used.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Visit https://www.minecraft.net/zh-hans (Simplified Chinese version (zh-hans) of the site) and https://www.minecraft.net/zh-hant (Traditional Chinese version (zh-hant) of the site)

  2. Observe the header (the top tab of the site) and the footer (bottom of the site) of either sites

  3. Try clicking the links in the header or footer

Expected result: Headers and footers of the site should use Simplified Chinese letters and its links for Simplified Chinese version and Traditional Chinese letters and its links for Traditional Chinese version respectively and the links should link to the same version of Chinese.

Observed result: Headers and footers of the site uses Traditional Chinese letters on the Simplified Chinese version of the site (zh-hans) or Simplified Chinese letters when on the Traditional Chinese version of the site (zh-hant), and the links direct users to other version of Chinese (if the site is in Traditional Chinese, the links in the header or footer direct user to Simplified Chinese version, and vice versa).

Sorry for typo on “verify”, I meant “…You can verify the issue in between the tutorial and the game by doing the following:…“

Sure. You can verified the issue in between the tutorial and the game by doing the following:

  1. Import “aim assist preset addition attempt from the tutorial“ (which basically I followed the tutorial from https://learn.microsoft.com/minecraft/creator/documents/camerasystem/aimassistpresets?view=minecraft-bedrock-stable ) and “correct way to add aim assist preset based of the game“ (which basically I copied the aim assist folder structure based from inside the game assets) to the game, due to a bug, the game must be closed before each import.

  2. With Minecraft open, click Play

  3. Click “Create new world”

  4. Click “Create new world” again

  5. Click “Cheats” from the left bar

  6. Enable cheats from the Cheats tab

  7. Click “Behavior packs” from the left bar

  8. Click “Activate” on “aim assist preset addition attempt from the tutorial“

  9. Click “Create”

  10. On a world, switch to third person

  11. Send a command “/aimassist @s 90 90 10 angle example:testing".

Images of content logs:

“aim assist preset addition attempt from the tutorial” (which basically I followed the tutorial from https://learn.microsoft.com/minecraft/creator/documents/camerasystem/aimassistpresets?view=minecraft-bedrock-stable (which the aim assist preset is located at aim assist preset addition attempt from the tutorial\cameras\presets)):

[media: game1766213937.png]

Content log yields errors with the camera (“[Camera][error]- -> minecraft:camera_preset: missing required field”, “[Camera][error]-Failed to load camera presets”).

Setting the view to third person and sending the command “/aimassist @s 90 90 10 angle example:testing“ results in failure (with “Unknown aim assist preset name“).

“correct way to add aim assist preset based of the game“ (which basically I copied the aim assist folder structure based from inside the game assets (which the aim assist preset is located at correct way to add aim assist preset based of the game\aim_assist\presets)):

[media: game1766212604.png]

Content log yields none of errors, and setting the view to third person and sending the command /aimassist @s 90 90 10 angle example:testing results in success (with the aim assist being activated).

Nevermind, this issue can still be reproduced via Profile screen.

The button to sign out now can’t be accessed, so this issue can’t be reproduced.

The Super Mario Mash-up is updated again in 1.21.120 (https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/40566672351885-Minecraft-1-21-120-Bedrock and https://www.minecraft.net/article/minecraft--bedrock-edition-1-21-120 ). from the resource pack in the Nintendo Switch, in 1.21.120, the pack version is 1.1.5, which added more retextures of contents from The Copper Age not added in prior update.

The Super Mario Mash-up Pack is updated again in 1.21.111 (https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/39932063411213 and https://www.minecraft.net/zh-hant/article/the-copper-age---minecraft--bedrock-edition-1-21-111-changelog ). from the resource pack in the Nintendo Switch, in 1.21.111, the pack version is now 1.1.4, which added retextures until The Copper Age.

@wreeper Thanks for the workaround, I did that but without rebooting the PC, the game still signs back in, and after rebooting, the previously linked account gets added back.

I did various workarounds before this, which includes:

Method

Result

Disconnecting the PC from the internet

Results in account to be unlinked in UWP version, but on GDK version, the game “signs” back on its own, even without the internet.

Wiping the game save (data), including &appdata&\Minecraft Bedrock Preview itself

Save’s wiped, yet still manages to sign-in without clicking “Sign in now”, unlike UWP versions which it would not.

Reinstall the game without the save data

Save’s wiped, yet still manages to sign-in without clicking “Sign in now”.

Setting the device account to local account

Already a local account, yet still signs in to Microsoft Account on Minecraft Preview.

Letting a second device open the game, kicking the first’s connection

When Minecraft Preview is being opened on the first PC after performing the workaround, its DRM asks me to sign back in, blocking the game from opening.

After tons of workaround, I managed to play the game without signing myself on:

  1. Open Xbox app while connected to the internet

  2. Click the profile icon / gamertag

  3. Click Sign out

  4. Open Minecraft Preview

  5. When the DRM asks you to sign in, press the close window button
