Some large chests (ONLY large chests) will randomize the items inside sometimes when leaving and rejoining the world. The large chest will open but won't show the animation when you're opening and closing it sometimes with any large chest (not all).

This is happening in the versions of 1.21, 1.21.20.21–(Preview), and maybe Future updates.

For me it appeared to swap some double chests. So the bottom half would become the top half vice versa. Not every double chest and no observable patterns. eg chunks, specific coordinates or what's inside the chest

I have updated the report summary to state the issue more precisely. It seems that the game is randomizing the update order for the block entities of the two blocks in a double chest. It occurs when reloading a double chests, and when hoppers put items into a double chest. I have been running long tests on a farm with a shulker loader, and when I open the double chest some of the shulker boxes will be in the top half and some in the bottom half.
⚠️ Please do not mark Unreleased Versions as affected. You don't have access to them yet.
