I was just testing out Spectator (I normally do Redstone or Survival) and I somehow glitched through y = -105 (void floor) and when I turned it back to creative, I started falling infinitely.
Is this normal?

This might be normal. In Java, once you fall in the void, you can fall for as long as you can survive.
