Slabs and trapdoors on occasion gain gravity

On a few occasions when wooden trapdoors and slabs where placed on the side of a solid block (tree trunk in the air) trapdoor and slab where placed onto the top half of the solid block the trapdoor and slab dropped to the bottom half of the solid block  and continued to after i tried to place the trap door and slab at the top half again
