If you attempt to place a painting on the side of a non full block when it is unable to be placed, (e.g, a flower pot, or tall grass, or a fence with a painting already on it) it will spam the placing sound without anything actually happening. Your arm wont even move as if its placing or anything, you can just hear the noise. It doesn't use up the painting(s) in your hand either.
