Bamboo cannot be crafted into stacks of blocks of bamboo

Crafting bamboo into blocks of bamboo via the crafting table does not work properly. When i tried to craft stacks of bamboo blocks, it did not work for stacks of less than 64. E.g. the crafting table interface showed that i can craft more than one stack. The first time it worked giving me one stack of bamboo blocks. The second attempt however, did not work as you can the in the video attached. I collected more bamboo and the same behavior occured: crafting 1 stack worked, but not for the second stack.  I tried another crafting table with the same behaviour.
