Cannot join world. The account you are signed in to is currently playing in this world on a different device

Currently me and my wife playing multiplayer mode.

and when we play multiplay, following issue happens.

  1. A creates a new world. B can join successfully.

  2. B leaves the world and can re-join successfully multiple times. B can even turn off the game, then re-join the world.

  3. B leaves the world. A leaves the world (without quitting the game).

  4. A opens up the world. B now cannot join and faced with the error.

Only way to multiplay is

every time newly created world and join to new world.

--------------------------------------------------------------

  1. Turning off Multiplayer for the specified world. Then later turn it on again. Doesn't work.

  1. Logging out/signing back in the accounts. Doesn't work.

How much time are you waiting after A reopens the world before trying to join? Does it work if A closes and reopens Minecraft?

Hi @michele123,

Current multiplayer limitation is 5 and I'm just playing with my wife

So, LAN mode, 2 person in the same world.

game is uptodate version.

Driver? what driver? it is IOS. let me know how to update driver.

Hi @[Mod] GoldenHelmet,

'A' reopen the world wait 30sec to several minute then 'B' joined

If 'A' closes and re-open --> still 'B' is not able to join.

So far the only way to join is
Create New world and join into new world.
this way we couldn't keep continue building.

I have this same issue, occurring between two Android devices.

Thank you for your report!

  • Could you please let us know if this issue persists after the latest update?

No, this is NOT resolved!!! The issue persists in the latest update v1.21.92 on two iPads playing on the same network using different accounts.

Mojang, this is a real issue that is affecting families whose kids want to play together. Please stop ignoring it and actually fix it!!!

Still an issue for me today.

Not resolved. Having this issue on iOS devices (I-pads). Purchased a world (Life in Dubai), friend joins and can play. Friend leaves and can rejoin. After person who purchased the world leaves and gets back in, the friend trying to join then receives the error. Tried signing out of Microsoft account, restarting device etc, nothing works except to create a new game with the world which is not fun because it’s starting over again and players can never continue with the game they played together previously. Purchased game has items they bought, coins collected, apartments purchased and decorated. It’s a bummer to start over every single time players want to play together in that world.
