Username is Skin name

When playing on my PS5 i couldn't use my custom skin, so used the "Party Plastic Creeper" skin from the second birthday skin pack. Upon loading minecraft on my PC later that evening, my username was displaying as "Party Plastic Cr" and stayed as that even after changing back to my custom skin and restarting my game. I changed my username for the account last night and that seemed to fix the issue but upon launching the game today, the username has reverted to "Party Plastic Cr" despite me not changing my skin since changing username
