I am writing to bring to your urgent attention a severe and persistent issue affecting Minecraft on the PS5 Bedrock Edition, which has been ongoing for several months, possibly over a year. This problem has not been resolved despite extensive reports from players, and it has led to significant frustration.
The issue manifests as a complete freeze of the console without any apparent cause. When this occurs, the console becomes unresponsive, and the only way to restart it is by forcibly unplugging it. This drastic measure risks damaging the PS5 hardware and corrupting data, including saved worlds and progress within Minecraft. The potential for hardware failure or data loss is unacceptable and has understandably led many players, including myself, to halt gameplay until a resolution is provided.
Numerous reports and discussions, including those on Reddit and Mojang's bug report forums, indicate that this problem is well-documented and ongoing. The lack of a fix or even an update on the situation is disheartening and suggests a troubling disregard for the impact on your PS5 player base. Some players have even gone so far as to delete the game entirely due to this issue.
I urge you to address this critical bug with the urgency it warrants. We need assurance that this problem will be resolved to prevent further damage to our consoles and data loss. The continued inaction is deeply frustrating and unfair to the dedicated players who have invested time and money into your game.
