Minecraft freezes and it freezes my PS5 as well

this has happened three times already and I’m concerned this can delete my world. My minecraft freezes when I load up it up. I play for a while then it freezes and I ultimately have to either disconnect my ps5 or hard reset it to back out. This issue concerns me as I cannot enjoy playing minecraft without having to worry about this issue! .

It’s also the digital version not the disc version so this issue confuses me

Same issue. Never had this issue before now. Not overloading the game ether and am playing like normal.

@UselessLez have you found a fix? Or have a possible solution?

Same issue, and my PS5 doesn't log the error or give me the option to send a error report as the console completely freezes and requires a hard reset.

@obscurus00 have you found a fix?

It says resolved along side issues but I know it is not. It's been happening to me and now i'm side swiping to the left, playing the game on the PS5 a nightmare. As for freezing no solution out there, as for dressing room no solution and side swiping to the left I'm waiting for response. I now play Minecraft on the PS5 for a laugh. I can't help buddy just wanted to let you know you are not alone.

As of July 10th (Update was 9th)

PS4 version still Hard Freezes,  requires a hard ps5 reset (no error given)

Ps5 Beta Does Not, but also doesn't allow old worlds, so hard to Fully Test.

I'm on Windows 10 and am having a very similar issue to this where instead of the game freezing, the pause menu appears and pressing the Escape key to resume play doesn't work so I have to press the resume button with the mouse.

I haven't had any issues with worlds breaking or the game crashing, it all appears to be related to the autosave.
Decided to add this as a comment instead of creating a new ticket because of the recent influx of tickets following the Realms outage.

My PS5 is also hard freezing.  It happened once a few days ago, twice yesterday (I stopped playing), and again today.  It's interrupted my stream on twitch each too...

I don't like having to hard reset my PS5.  Each time, it yells at me for shutting it off improperly.

Plus, it's a bad look for you guys...  streams constantly ending because of crashes...

I played Apex Legends and Asphalt Legends Unite after giving up on Minecraft yesterday...  in total, I streamed for about an additional 8 hours with no problems whatsoever.  So given my own experience in addition to what everyone else is saying, it has to be on mojangs end...

Worst of all, it's taken all of this for me to find this page and then make an account to leave a comment...  and I'd usually never do this.  But I kinda need minecraft to work when I want to play though, you know?  So I can only imagine how many more of us there is our there with the same exact problem and just aren't reporting it for whatever reason...  because the PlayStation isn't recognizing that's there problem so we can't send error reports.

However you have to do it, could someone please get the word higher up in the chain of command?  We need yall to do something about this.  Please don't leave us hanging.  Thanks.

Commenting here to add that I am also experiencing the same issue with Minecraft on PS5 Bedrock Edition. It's been quite frustrating as I can't enjoy Minecraft anymore. Additionally, I am concerned about the risk of my console being damaged.

I really hope the team can address this issue soon. 😞
