Since the update 1.20 the game on the PS5 is now crashing every couple of days losing my progress. Just thought I would report this because it's getting a little grinding to play it on the console. In the past two weeks it's crashed 5 times locking me out of my PS5, the only way to gain control is to unplug the console from the wall, then boot up. Then hope your world is not corrupted, for which one time is said this and I had to delete the world then download the last uploaded version, wow worrying time. Also when feeding my animals the bite sound has gone, can not hear it anymore. Please fix these bugs I want to play minecraft on the PS5. Thanks.

Crashes such as these are logged automatically by the game or server and investigated further by the development team internally, so they are not generally kept on the bug tracker.
If you can provide a list of steps that someone else can follow to consistently reproduce a crash then feel free to create a new report. Please be sure to always search for duplicates before creating any new report. Please see the Bug Tracker Guidelines for more information.

OK steps to reproduce the crash are playing the game. It's just happened again and this is getting crazy. I'm losing my progress and at high risk of losing my worlds due to corruption. The PS5 version since the 1.20 update has been awful.

maybe this shows up in the error history of your PS5.
Personally I haven't experienced this deep freezes on my PS5 but maybe the crash is visible in the error history and you can attach it to the ticket as proof as the mojang team keeps ignoring this...

Hard Crashes don't give reports, they just Freeze Ps5. And unplugging and plugging it back in just does drive repair and warns you about unplugging it.
I let my ps5 sit for a few mins to see if it would catch up, it wont.
Had several of Hard Freezes so far. Nothing I can give to list the issue, other then it just happens.
Updated from early trails update (havn't played in a few months)
All this happen last night.
1st crash (gave report) Wandering merchant was there, had blank lists. Clicking them crashed game to Home Page.
shouldn't have did that...
2nd, I opened barrel, grabbed 12 sticks and froze game. (had to unplug ps5)
(Turned off Texture Pack)
3rd time, Exit my Home, started swim across water. Froze. (had to unplug ps5)
4th time, Got home after village visit, half way thru a halls, Froze again. (had to unplug ps5)
Un-Installed game and reinstalled, Kept to Base version of the game.
5th time. Started new character. (as my others come from ps3 edition/ps4 to ps5)
Played for about 45mins, came back, opened crafting table, hard freeze.
I could barely play 40 to 60mins with out a freeze and gave up. Ps5 is only about year old, with maybe 300 hours on it, (cyberpunk, Des, Hogwarts, minecraft in it. Zero issues till this minecraft update.

Please do not unplug your PS5 while it is in the crashed state this could do further damage, simply hold the power button on front of the PS5 for approximately 30 seconds.
I haven't played Minecraft for over a year now due to this issue and the concern of damaging my PS5.
I doubt this will be fixed.

Thanks for all the comments and I believe it's still happening to a lot of us. My PS5 is still hard crashing and I play on the PS5 to make it crash just for fun. As some of you said there is no error code so can't be tracked by the bug tracker, no sending report on the next gen console ether which is wack. I was asked what steps made the game hard freeze this will help other players out to, I said playing the game. I'm looking forward to seeing the PS5 version of Minecraft this has been announced, playing the PS4 version might be the problem. Thanks guys.

You know I know in fact everybody who has commented on the same issue is still having the same problem. referring me to another post about the PS5 freezing does not resolve the hard freezing. Thanks you for your response.
