The animation when you pick up items is displayed every time your tool durability goes down. It appears that MCPE-23995 returned...

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Get a tool or a weapon of any kind.

2. Use the tool or a weapon to decrease its durability. You can try mining with the tool for example.

3. Immediately once you use the tool, its pickup animation occurs.

Expected Results:

The pickup animation on tools won't happen every time a tool decreases its durability.

Observed Results:

The pickup animation on tools will happen every time a tool decreases its durability.
