Beacon beams are unable to be seen from short-ish distances with darkness

Titles fairly close, but I'll explain better.

Without the darkness effect. you can see a beacon beam from a fairly decent distance.
With the darkness effect, you cannot see beacon beams from areas that you could when you didnt have darkness.

Seems like it renders the beacon as far as darkness can see entities, likely because the beam is an entity.

It appears to drop off after about 15 blocks, which i believe is just the viewing distance you get with darkness.
The warden that gave me the darkness effect is only visible from about 15 blocks away too.

How to replicate

  1. Place down and activate a beacon

  2. Give yourself darkness and go up until you can no longer see it.

  3. Remove the darkness effect. You will now be able to see the beam.

This is more of a mild annoyance. I was just trying to see if darkness had particles, but had to block an active beacon first, but couldn't as the darkness stopped that beacons beam from rendering.

(Videos may be in a different order because of how I uploaded them)

In the first video, the beacon is about 20 blocks beneath me.

The second shows the beam suddenly un-rendering after it reaches the edge of the darkness effect.
