Character Creator skin's hair turns orange, and eyes change to blue

I recently created a skin, then I closed the game, and when I loaded back in, the skin remained the same except for its hair and eye colours, which had been changed (originally black hair and eyes) to orange hair and blue eyes. Also the version selector is meant to be v1.21.42, but it didn't list it as an option.
