dlc still not working for multiplayer

I have the dlc for wdw for me and my gf to play on. But whenever i try to invite her, the system requests her to download the add ons of the dlc. After she presses download, it loads for a bit then a message appears saying she gets disconnected from the host (see attached image). We tried switching wifi networks, refreshing the game and device, checking settings, and still nothing works. Gadget storage is still good and app and device versions are up to date. Please fix asap. I tried searching for similar issues on this website and on other platforms, but i dont seem to find anything that can help me.
