When I X out of the game and then return my emotes won't be assigned then I have to assign my emotes over and over and over again please fix so it saves my assignment of my emotes.

Can confirm for me in 26.3, and for my experience, it is easier to reproduce if you play the game under the same Microsoft Account on different devices.
Steps to reproduce (assuming you only use one device):
With Minecraft open, go to the Dressing Room
Create a new custom character on a slot
Click Emotes button (icon of a character dancing)
Observe that the emotes are equipped
Leave the Dressing Room and return to title screen
Close and restart Minecraft (a few times)
After restarting, go to the Dressing Room
Click Emotes button (icon of a character dancing)
Observe if the emotes are equipped
Expected result: The emotes (equipped) from step 4 should retain.
Observed result: The emotes are now unequipped, in gameplay, they are unavailable to be used until the player equips it back.
