Knockback for mobs in-air does not match the Java version

Knockback in the air does not match the Java version.
BedrockEdition: https://youtu.be/yw9fF__jiPc
JavaEdition: https://youtu.be/Eb3wCnuhCAI

In the Java version, when knockback occurs in mid-air, it does not lift the mob upward, whereas in Bedrock version, knockback always includes a vertical lift.

Steps to reproduce

Spawn a mob.

  1. Punch the mob, then while it is moving through the air from knockback, punch it again.

  2. OR spawn a mob against the side of a pillar with nothing under it, and hit it as it falls.

Expected result

When you punch the mob while it is not touching the ground, the knockback does not lift it upward. (This is how it works in Java Edition.)

Observed result

When you punch the mob while it is not touching the ground, the knockback lifts it upward the same as when it is touching the ground.

We can only track 1 issue per report. Since (MCPE-170242) already tracks cooldown not applying to the knockback enchantment, I am updating this report to describe only the disparity with not-touching-ground knockback.
