Whenever i try to join a friend's world that isn't hosted on the same device as mine, it just doesn't appear at all.
For instance; my friend has a world on the preview edition of the game, and he is hosting said world on his mobile phone. Whenever i try to join from my console the world just refuses to pop up, and even if i receive his invites i literally can't even accept them (i press touch bad and nothing happens.)
If i go over to the official release of the game the world DOES appear, but of course i can't join it since it's a different client. Same thing goes for PC.
This obviously doesn't occur if we're not using cross platform connection, as his world appears on my friend list whenever he's playing on console like me.
I believe this issue has already been reported on different online forums, but i've yet to see anyone reporting it on the actual bug tracker so here i am. I literally can't even play with my friend because of this, so please have a look if possible.
Update: so, apparently the text that tells me to press touch pad to accept the invite is quite literally wrong; what i really need to do in order to accept the invite is to press the button on the right located on the D pad. I believe this has to do with the fact that i changed my key binding, mapping the chat option to the touch pad button instead of the right D pad, and thus the notification box probably gets updated to the new mapping but the actual input doesn't.
But that's not the point, because here's the thing; while cross-platform worlds won't appear at all on any device, if you're on any device that isn't a pc (thus not the windows edition) you're able to invite anyone and they'll actually receive the invite. This apparently isn't the case for Windows edition however, as i have tested it with multiple of my friends and none of them said to have received the invite, and therefore the issue has to do with the windows edition of the game not being able to send invites properly.
