How am I supposed to know that it's really a duplicate if there's no link attached?
@[MCQA] jKakub the video that OP attached to the post is probably too low resolution to see the issue. Take a look at my recording to see just how bad it is.
Hi, I'm having the same issue. I can confirm that changing the framerate doesn't work; as a matter of fact, it makes it even worse. See the video I have linked to see just how bad it is (I have a 60hz screen and I set the frame cap to 60 FPS)
[media]What? Where is the duplicate?
It's been a few months and this still hasn't been fixed.
Hi, sorry for the late response I kinda forgot about this thread. I tried pinging you but I wasn't able to since I apparently can't tag any mod or admin whatsoever, you guys should probably work on that! Anyways, the slider for me only appears in recent updates, I suppose it was automatically fixed when most graphical settings were moved in the “fancy options.” Still, I tried putting the limit to 60 FPS like intended, but somehow that causes even more tearing. Do keep in mind that my display has a refresh rate of 60 Hz.
[media]Can confirm that this affects the latest official release as well.
This also seems to be happening on the preview version of the game.
Still waiting for a response.
This seems to be fixed as of the latest patch.
Update: after downloading the recent patch on both devices, I can confirm that the but has been dealt with; therefore, this issue is resolved.
It's also been a while, so I don't know if the issue is still recurrent on the latest version. I haven't encountered it in a while, but mainly because all the packs I'm downloading now aren't that big in dimension.
@[MCQA] Blawik Hi. I don't know why the website isn't letting me tag Jakublu, but I figured I'd respond anyways by tagging a different moderator even if it's been a while. I don't know what the packs in question were since the world wasn’t hosted by me, nor do I know on what platform It was hosted on; what I do know however, is that it was probably the windows edition since you can't really create a world with third-party add-ons on consoles, and on Mobile the world itself just wouldn't be able to support that many packs. I was playing on PS5 when I tried to join that world, but do keep in mind that this issue isn't caused by the packs themselves since even high quality marketplace content made precisely for consoles causes this. Again, this issue didn't occur when I tried to download the packs from a dedicated server hosted on my PC.
The original ticket that was linked to this “duplicate” also contains misinformation. This issue isn't caused by texture packs as a whole; actually, what causes it isn't exactly clear. All I can say is that marketplace add-ons are sure to not work, while a few third parties ones remain unaffected.
I wouldn't necessarily mark this as a duplicate.. This phenomenon doesn't occur with all add-ons, just a few ones. Its effects are more apparent with marketplace content, since any add-on that's in there crashes the game.
This honestly doesn't seem like intended behavior, and even if it is it's an unreasonable one. Why would they remove such a useful feature?
