I have had no sound in Minecraft Windows 10 Edition Beta since I downloaded it from the shop.
I didn't have sound in trial neither after the purchase.
I reinstalled after purchase, still no sound.
I have checked all frequencies in the audio mixer (although such solution seemed like a waste of time) and it was a waste of time.
I installed KB3010081, restarted Windows, no luck.
I installed KB3099229, no luck, either.
All drivers are up to date.
System is up to date.
I have the speakers connected.
I have restarted the game 20 times.
I have also waited for something to download for 30 minutes, nothing downloaded nor gave me sound.
I can hear sound in other games and applications. The only problem is with Minecraft.
It seems like solutions from other tickets are not working so I create a new one.

okay... having spent 4 hours trying to have sound... I made it .. and it's a problem with windows N.. but the newest upgrade needed to have sound is KB3133719
the previous upgrades (and so the earlier solutions) were not working
in general, until you have media player (try searching for this app after installing each "windows media feature pack"), you won't have no sound
to developers: you should have mentioned that in the game description in the shop so that would save everyone much effort
