I lost my editions button

I purchased the PS4 Minecraft PlayStation 4 edition disc. When I put it in, I can play Minecraft ps4 edition, however the ps4 instantly starts downloading bedrock edition, and whilst you can stop the download, that means I will then have to play on the lowest version/update of PlayStation 4 Minecraft, which doesn’t have the shields etc I was under the impression that I could play Minecraft PlayStation 4 edition, whenever I want, by selecting the editions button, on bedrock, however, the editions button is not there. Can you please tell me whether it is possible to do, I have followed some tutorials which work but the button disappears next time I open the game, is there a way to make the editions buttons stay permanently so I can choose which edition I want to play, since I do physically own the PlayStation 4 edition so I should be able to play it, surely!
