Minecraft treating me as a new player whenever I join my friend's world that we've played on for ages.

When I join my friends world (we are about to reach 200 days) and now whenever I join it treats me as a new player, I'm at world spawn with none of my items. It’s really annoying and I just want me stuff back, please help.
