Minecraft 1.21.62 version won't save any adjustments of my settings

Like every time I try to customize my finger control to what I'm comfortable with, or with the brightness setting it to max, or turning on fancy bobbles, or turning on split control, and I turn off or reset the game. Everything resets to the defaults brightness resets to default, finger customize reset it all resets
