Importing custom skin on android fails despite correct file

Just like in issue MCPE-186003, I am trying to import a 64×64 .png as custom skin, but it tells me to choose either a .png with dimensions 64×32, 64×64 or 128×128. issue 186003 is marked as resolved, but considering I am experiencing the issue it's either unfixed itself or a new problem with similar effect has since appeared.

I've attached a screenshot of the error message (along with the debug info on the top) as well as the .png in question, which the desktop launcher didn't have issues with.
