Chunks loading insanely slowly

I have been playing the game for several years since 1.15. And I’ve noticed that chunk loading has became much slower over time, even on brand new worlds. I am unsure of what’s causing it, but chunks are loading much slower than they should be, and it can sometimes take several minutes just for chunks to load.
