Actions and situations that slow you down or temporarily prevent you from moving (eating, drinking, badly designed doors) will cause the game to force you into the position you would have reached if you hadn’t been slowed down or stopped.
❗ I do not use any addons or other modifications.
Reproduce:
Look at the screenshot titled “A”.
Join a Realm or local world.
Rebuild the setup you can see on the screenshot titled “A”.
Go behind the pressure plates.
Start sprinting toward the doors (do not jump, just sprint).
Sprint until you get 3–4 blocks past the doors.
If you didn’t notice anything, repeat — the bug will appear!
This is one way to trigger this bug. Like I said:
Actions and situations that slow you down or temporarily prevent you from moving.
But this door setup is the best way for demonstration.
Expected:
The player slows down while eating but can move normally from their current position after finishing eating.
Observed:
Sometimes (sometimes, but many times!), the player gets pushed forward after finishing eating/drinking — you get the idea.
Ideas
It feels like the player gets pushed into the position the game expected them to be in if they hadn’t eaten anything. But that’s just a theory/

So, I heard that they won’t revert the changes that caused these bugs because they had to make those changes to add a new feature.
I don't think Mojang should make changes that break many mechanics just to add one new mechanic.

It's also very noticeable when riding a horse into water and getting pushed off of it. Sometimes you get “teleported” around before you land in the right position.
