Book and Quill is deleting my text

I needed to write down some coordinates in a coordinate book I keep. After exiting the book to check the numbers again, all of the text that I had just wrote was deleted. After trying a few times I just thought the book broke with the update, so I made a new one and was able to write in normally, but when I logged on again today, I had the same issue as before. All of the text I wrote previously is fine, but whenever I try adding anything new, it’s gone the next time I open it.
