Chat is enabled on the Minecraft Movie event

It is possible to type in chat and view other people’s messages on the Minecraft Movie event. This happened this morning on iPad and iPhone. Logged in and out several times and seems chat is consistently enabled.

This does not seem like a Minecraft bug. It may be a server bug

This happens on all platforms, this seems to be a server issue

Sorry, I’m not very tech knowledgeable. Where should I report a server issue? Or is it something I should be able to sort on my end?

Just happened for me now

as this is a bedrock server could someone use chat codes eg: §k to lag out the server or even worse use hacks such as horion crasher?

Can confirm on pc also if needed mute your chat

im sorry, why do you want this fixed

  1. Sign in to your Microsoft account and go to the Xbox Family Settings page.

  1. Select the child account you want to manage.

  1. Under the "Privacy & online safety" section, select "Xbox Live privacy".

  1. Scroll down to the "Communication & multiplayer" section and select "View details & customize".

  1. Under "Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites", select "Block".

  1. Under "You can communicate with voice and text", select "Friends only" or "Block".

  1. Save your changes.

Thanks, I think this is helpful. I still think it needs fixing because parents assume that Minecraft Official Events will have chat disabled.
