The heating issue happens almost immediately as soon as I logged into the game and it escalates when I join a world. I have carried out three tests. First is which I open a creative mode vanilla world and stay at the same spot for 5 minutes with all advanced graphics settings (eg Fancy graphics, Beautiful skies, and Smooth lightning) turned off. The recorded battery drainage was 5% (from 95% till 90%). Second is which I have limited the frame rate to only 40 FPS as well as the render distance downed to only 7, but the recorded battery drainage was still 5% (from 89% till 84%) which was totally unacceptable. Then, I decided to turn on my device’s Low Power Mode and also airplane mode. Moreover, I even created a super flat world and remained at the same spot throughout the test to ensure no external burdens (loading chunks). The battery still drained 2% in this test. THIS ISSUE NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE THE 1.21 VERSION. It only happens in recent updates.
Expected results: The game should not cause severe overheating and battery drain.
How to reproduce?
Open Minecraft
Join any world
Wait for 5 minutes
The device will start overheating, followed by excessive battery drain.
