Horrendous gameplay since last update

Game closes frequently every 3-10 minutes. No one thing causes it
Could be opening a chest or mining or running. Entering the nether is shortly followed by a closed app and exiting the nether always causes app to close.
Animation seems to pause every thirty seconds or so. Screen freezes for a few ticks then continues. Makes playing painful
