Book and Quill does not save written info when closed.

In the new update, book and Quills do not save the info that is written in the book. whenever I click close it does not save the information that has been written. I have attempted this in on my xbox and on my laptop and still have the same issue. i write anything or even spam random letters and it is showing up in the book normally. but whenever i close it and re open, it does not save what is written.
