Can't log into Microsoft account on PlayStation

Every time I try to log into a Microsoft account on my PS5, I’m always interrupted with an error saying my account is already linked to an existing Microsoft account. This is an ongoing problem that many other people have had and has never been resolved as far as I’m aware.
