Item appearing in multiple hotbar slots

When I open a chest, hopper, or dispenser while at least one slot in my hotbar is empty, the empty slots are all filled with the same inventory item, although it is not actually duplicated. Other items in the hotbar will also switch themselves out with another inventory item, though less frequently. The attached screenshot shows one stack of lapis occupying four hotbar slots. This bug occurred on a Samsung Galaxy J3 V phone.
