When trying to create a book it does not exist, the recipe is the same however it does not

That book recipe is old. As of 1.0.4.11, both the Java edition and MCPE use the new book recipe: 2 paper & 1 leather.
And that crafting recipe for while stained glass won't work, because stained glass hasn't been added to MCPE yet. (Due to the difficulty of properly rendering semi-transparent objects in games.)
Therefore, I'm resolving this issue as works as intended.
