@unknown, please don't remove info from old tickets. It's important to keep the info there for the historical record when researching old bugs.
@leo190 Only devs, admins, mods, and helpers have the authority to close tickets as WAI. And as far as I can tell, this behavior is not intended. You can't even get grass path blocks from the creative menu, and this behavior is inconsistent with Java Edition, so until someone from Mojang/Microsoft lets us know otherwise, this behavior should be considered a bug.
EDIT: Sorry, I was mistaken about the creative menu thing. It's still inconsistent with Java Edition, though.
The fix only affects the side of the piston opposite the head. The sides adjacent to the head still become "transparent" when the piston extends.
I just checked and I can confirm the issue is fixed as of 1.14.1.5.
Yeah, I think it would be best to open a new issue.
@Dave B. that looks like a different issue to me. In your screenshot, a texture from another block (blast furnace) is being applied to the wrong block.
I guess the actual issue is that rail-switching doesn't cause block updates in the first place. (Though whether or not it should may be debatable.) I have updated the issue title and description to reflect this.
Still affects 2.1.9618.
@FVbico, according to the Minecraft Wiki, ender chests do generate in end citites, starting in 15w31a.
@Brad Canney The issue with leaves and glass is being tracked at a new issue: MCPE-54241.
@Brad Canney, you should open a separate issue for mobs spawning on bedrock, since bedrock is not a transparent block.
@unknown Read the description very carefully:
"If you place rails not next to another rail of any type, it always faces north-south instead of the way you're facing."
The issue is that when any type of rail is placed by itself, it always faces the same direction. The description is definitely confusing, though. I have updated the description to be more clear.
@unknown Those particles look like the middle of an item frame to me. If you look closely, you can tell that they are different from the Acacia Planks particles.
This is fixed as of 1.7.0.9 Beta. (Possibly earlier; I have not tested any other recent versions.)
This appears to be fixed as of 1.7.0.9 Beta.

This issue is still occurring. The [minecraft:nameable|https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Bedrock_Edition_entity_components#minecraft:nameable]
component is still missing from the wither_skeleton.json
file in the vanilla behavior pack.
I have updated the ticket to reflect the recent changes to both Java Edition and Bedrock.
Resolving as fixed.
@unknown, I just tested in 1.16.100 and the issue is still there, though it's worth noting that it only occurs when smooth lighting is enabled (and is most clearly visible when brightness is set to 0). I've updated the issue description to mention this.
1.16.101 appears to be a Switch + mobile-only hotfix with no bugfixes related to lighting, so I'm guessing the bug isn't actually fixed in that version. If it does still appear to be fixed with smooth lighting enabled and brightness set to 0 (and make sure it's in a dark room or at night), let me know.
