Device: Contixo LA703 running Android 4.4.2
As of 1.0.5.54 the tablet cannot open Minecraft at all. Attempting to start the game shows a black screen for a few seconds, followed by the device restarting.
We've done a factory reset on the tablet to no avail. The tablet was running a save minecraft game from the prior Play Store release the day prior (Played on March 27th, 2017; Version 1.0.4 presumably?)

We have exactly the same issue. With PE 1.0.5.54 and android tablet version 4.4.2. it is an LG GPad 8.3. Minecraft crash on startup. Worked fine before the latest uppdaterad.
