Sometimes when I add an item from my inventory to the main inventory bar I end up with 2 slots being used for the same item, it doesn't happen with every item is a weird bug. I have a screenshot the item you see double is just one item.

This problem has been happening with my Android phone too, sometimes after accessing a chest or opening my inventory, it scatters my hot bar and multiplies some things like crazy! It quadrupled my steak count! Fortunately, nothing ever disappears or deletes itself, it just constantly moves all over my inventory and hot bar.
I was getting my 64 diamonds in my inventory then I used the furnence and then in my inventory it showed 3 more of one item in my inventory then I tried it again and it happened again with a different item I have.I hope you can fix it even though it could be useful...in a cheating way...lol
Honesly I was waiting for this post.
This happened to me commonly. Which ruined all of my inventory items. Doubled, Even Tripled. I fix it by opening my inventory and selecting a empty item then the double item disappear. But i don't want this way since it's useless. !

I have this issue too but a bit worse - sometimes things can triple up in my hot bar and so far it has started and not stopped, making me have a very limited amount of space in my hot bar when really I have many slots but they are out of order. In this screenshot, you can see that the only slot in my hot bar that does not double or triple up with another one is the very first, where my diamond sword is. It is very annoying and I hope to see this fixed as soon as possible! Sometimes this has happened in other versions and it has always been fixed after a while, but not as extreme as this one and this is the most irritating it's even been especially since I am trying to build a lot at the moment!
