When file size gets to around 50MB going to nether and taking nearly any action will result in the game crashing out. You can walk around, but all mobs move in slow motion. If you break a block it falls in slow motion. Saving after you collect any items cause the game to crash.
I am running on 5 chunk render distance and have things as low as they can go graphic wise.
Save file is in nether is roughly 3 times the size when I managed to save right after I went in.
Overworld still works. An estimate of when you all think you will have this solved would be great.
