Deleting resource packs or behavior packs through the storage tab in settings leaves empty folders that belonged to the deleted resource

In settings, deleting resources or behavior packs leaves an empty folder which belonged to the deleted pack inside com.mojang.minecraftpe directory. It may seem like a minor issue but it is personally unpleasant to know that an empty folder forever resides in minecraft’s directory.

One might state to just copy all of my worlds and the things I need and import them back into the game once the data is wiped. Unfortunately that cannot be the case, android’s restrictions will not allow that and would require me to gain root access to my device which is risky.

In the attached images, the folder names that are outlined with a red rectangle are empty folders and have remained there ever since, unable to be removed due to android restrictions.

From MCPE-228033:

  • Install any Resource Pack (RP) or Behavior Pack (BP) first.

  • Go to Minecraft Settings > Storage > your RP or BP.

  • Delete it there.

You would then need to use a file explorer app to navigate to /Android/com.mojang.minecraftpe/files/games/com.mojang/resource_packs

I was not able to reproduce this myself on an Android 11 device, so it may only be an issue on newer Android versions.
