Eating rotten flesh does nothing (no hunger restored, item not consumed)

When you try to consume rotten flesh, the eating sequence and sound play as usual, but then nothing occurs when you complete that sequence. The hunger bar does not level up, no hunger status is added, and nothing happens to the rotten flesh item—it's like the eating action never happened.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open survival world on PS5 in Minecraft Bedrock Preview 1.21.90.21

2. Minimize hunger to be able to eat.

3. Choose spoiled flesh and hold to eat.

4. Watch when the animation finishes

Expected behavior

The spoiled flesh should be eaten, replenish some hunger, and potentially apply the Hunger status effect.

Actual Behaviour

The food is not eaten, no hunger is regained, and no status modifiers apply. The eating didn't seem to count.

Additional Notes

• This issue persists every time when trying to consume spoiled flesh.

• No third-party content, mods, or resource packs.

• Happens in singleplayer.

• Other foods can or may not be impacted (not tested).
