Water placed near/inside slabs causes unintended see-through visual glitch

When you put water in or near a slab, some of the water visually becomes transparent. This causes an x-ray-like phenomenon where the player is able to see blocks behind it. The problem seems to be associated with slab interaction with water rendering.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Position one slab (any variety) somewhere on Earth.

  2. Put water on or next to the slab.

  3. Pan the camera so that you are viewing through the slab and water.

  4. Note the issue on transparency.

Predicted Action:

Water should render smoothly and opaque, even if it is bordering or partially enclosed by a slab.

Real-life Behavior:

Water in contact with slabs becomes partially or fully translucent so that the player is able to view through it and sometimes terrain behind it.

Here is the video demonstrating the water slab transparency problem.

Further Comments:

• Occurs with various slab types (requires further testing).

• There was no performance or frame lag detected—just a rendering glitch.

• Can be used for unexpected x-ray vision.
