Charged creepers are spawning instead of normal creepers

I just updated my game and joined my boyfriend’s multiplayer world, and charged creepers are spawning in in place of normal ones. Like just regularly spawning.. since updating the game and joining I haven’t seen a normal creeper, only charged ones!
